Whatever a dairy farmer decides to do, it is vital that he gets an effluent system design expert to design his proposed new system, even if he is upgrading his existing system.

No longer will the local builder or contractor do because the compliance standards, effluent management plant (pumps, ponds etc), system layout with possible future changes in mind, efficient use of electricity and mother nature (gravity, stationary liquid time, ground type, etc). All need to be taken into very serious account when designing or redesigning an up to modern standard effluent system. Nothing less these days will do, because if he gets it wrong it will cost many $$$ in rebuilding and could do the same in fines after the compliance officer has been around!
